Inventors or  suppliers of new products often face the challenge of deciding how to proceed, who to work with, and how to maximize revenue.  Three options are:

Engage with Inventec

At Inventec we are selective in the products we handle.  For the most, we are interested in unique and innovative products aimed at the mass consumer or user goods market world-wide.

Entrusting your product with Inventec offers the following benefits:

  1. Your product will be carefully evaluated upfront at no cost to you.

  2. Products selected for commercialization benefit from our expertise and resources necessary to develop and evolve your product along a value chain - from an idea to market.

  3. We are able to rapidly penetrate markets on a global scale with high budget, multi-media marketing campaigns.

  4. In addition to participating in the full spectrum of value chain activities, we give high priority to product protection in the form of intellectual property (IP) and other forms of commercial protection.

Aside from engaging with Inventec, other rout to market options are design companies and invention-promoting companies (see below).

Design companies

There are some excellent product design facilities around the world.  From time to time, and in the case of specialised products outside of our domain of expertise, we  engage with these facilities.

In general, design companies focus on one part of the value chain - specifically product design activities as it relates to the product development stage in the value chain.  In contrast, Inventec engages in the full spectrum of value chain activities: Ideation, Product Development, Manufacturing, Marketing and Use of the product. Typically, this approach yields a reduction in cost of goods, time to market and an improvement in product profitability.

Invention-Promotion Companies

Invention-promotion companies actively pursue new inventions by promoting their services, typically on the internet.  Although there are exceptions, these companies profit by charging fees to evaluate the merit of your idea.  The more product ideas evaluated - regardless of their potential, the more money they make.  Products receiving a favourable evaluation, are presented to a 3rd party companies with the objective of securing marketing or distribution rights for the product.  Unfortunately, there are many “scams” involving some of these companies and warnings are regularly posted by government agencies to warn and protect innocent inventors.  Based on reports, the track record of these companies to generate income for the inventor is, at best, dismal.

In contrast, our modus operandi relies not on quantity of inventions but on the quality of the invention.  We do not generate income from evaluating inventor’s products – we do this free of charge.  Income generated - for both Inventec and the inventor, is directly linked to the success of the product in terms of sales revenue generated.  Given the high cost in commercialising a new product idea, we are extremely selective in the new product ideas or products we chose to take on.

Can we guarantee success?

Notwithstanding Inventec’s successful track record in turning new product ideas and inventions into profitable innovations, there is currently no fail proof method available (and probably never will be) to predict the commercial success of an invention upfront.  On a positive note, through the design and implementation of our business model, the risk of new product failure can be minimized whilst maximizing the chance of success in transforming the new idea or invention into a successful innovation.
